About the role
The Government of Yukon is seeking a dedicated Community Health Nurse to join its thriving Community Nursing team in Dawson City. This full‑time, permanent position focuses on preventive health strategies to improve the well‑being of residents across the territory.
Key responsibilities
- Provide immunizations, health screenings, and postpartum and well‑child assessments in a community setting.
- Develop and deliver public health education programs and individual counseling.
- Collaborate with Indigenous Peoples and First Nations leadership to enhance population health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate health records and contribute to the unit’s overall performance.
Required profile
- Current registration with a Canadian nursing regulatory authority.
- Recent experience as a Public Health Nurse delivering immunizations and child health assessments.
- Commitment to culturally respectful care and community partnership.
