Communication Specialist

About the role

The Communication Specialist serves as the voice of CCS, translating the organization’s financial‑education work into compelling written and visual content that resonates with Canadians. You will leverage your knowledge of the personal‑finance sector to produce blog articles, media pitches, press releases, brochures, presentations, video scripts and social‑media posts that drive awareness and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit a variety of collateral—including blogs, press releases, brochures, presentations, video scripts and social‑media content—to support the overall marketing and awareness strategy.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing & Community Engagement team to ensure messaging consistency across all channels and increase consumer interaction.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in business, communications or a related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in the personal‑finance or credit industry and 2‑3 years in communications, writing or journalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Practical experience using major social‑media platforms (X, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok).

• Competitive salary range of $60,840‑$68,848 CAD with annual review and performance‑based increases.
