Commodity Analyst – Motor, Engine & Drives

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Commodity Analyst to support motor, engine and drives commodities across its global operations. You will partner with sourcing, engineering and supply‑chain teams to build cost models, monitor market trends and drive risk‑mitigated procurement decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commodity pricing databases, market intelligence and should‑cost models to support sourcing and budgeting.
• Track purchase‑price variance, cost‑saving initiatives, supplier performance and supply‑risk metrics.
• Support the Commodity Manager in strategy development, scenario‑based cost modeling and contract administration.
• Manage supplier quotations, onboarding, NDA and master‑supply‑agreement processes while ensuring quality and delivery targets.
• Leverage digital tools (Pro‑Purchaser, Infor LN, Power BI) to automate reporting, run BOM risk simulations and produce data‑driven presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management, operations, engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or commodity management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record in cost breakdown modeling and purchase‑price‑variance analysis.
• Experience creating automated dashboards and visualisations for senior stakeholders.
