About the role

The Commis 1 Chef supports the culinary team at Naturally Pacific Resort, preparing menu items and ensuring high standards of taste, temperature, and presentation. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on learning under senior chefs in a vibrant resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to specifications and maintain consistency.
• Follow instructions from Senior Chefs, Chef de Parties, and Sous Chefs.
• Set up the kitchen for service and ensure all stations are ready.
• Serve food at the correct temperature, taste, and visual appeal.
• Maintain food safety temperature logs and use thermometers to verify doneness.
• Uphold strict health, hygiene, and occupational safety standards.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Assist teammates when needed and contribute to a cooperative kitchen atmosphere.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn new culinary skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
