Commercial & Industrial Construction Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial Construction Estimator to join our growing team. You will translate project concepts, drawings, and specifications into competitive, well‑structured bids for a diverse portfolio of design‑build projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and conceptual designs to define project scope.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and detailed cost estimating for commercial and industrial projects.
• Develop comprehensive estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, overhead, contingencies, and risk.
• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare bid submissions, proposals, scopes of work, clarifications, and cost breakdowns.
• Attend site visits, pre‑bid meetings, and project walkthroughs as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership on bid strategy and execution planning.
• Maintain organized estimate files, vendor relationships, pricing databases, and historical cost records.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and internal processes.

Required profile

• Practical experience in construction estimating, project coordination, mechanical construction, or pre‑construction environments.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and project costing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and bid packages.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
