About the role
Canac is seeking a Commercial Driver to operate straight or articulated trucks, transport goods, and address customer concerns in Rivière‑du‑Loup.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper tarping and cargo security.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport materials.
- Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of vehicle condition, tires, lights, brakes, and cold‑storage equipment.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with central dispatch, relaying information and receiving instructions.
- Maintain documentation such as accident reports, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
Required profile
- Class 3 (or D) driver’s licence.
- Efficient interpersonal skills for handling customer complaints.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage a large workload.
- Own steel‑toed safety boots.
