Co-op Education Manager, iSchool & Undergrad

About the role

The Co-op Education Manager will lead the iSchool and undergraduate co‑op programs within UBC's Arts Co‑op Program. This fixed‑term position oversees program development, delivery, and evaluation while ensuring compliance with national accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the UBC School of Information and undergraduate co‑op programs.
• Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract student participants.
• Facilitate comprehensive career‑readiness curriculum, providing advising and coaching for job search and work experiences.
• Monitor co‑op placements, address workplace issues, and ensure student success each term.
• Assess, evaluate and analyse placement experiences and outcomes.
• Collaborate with co‑op professionals across the province and country.
• Manage day‑to‑day administration of the co‑op program.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local, national and international employers.

Required profile

• Experience managing co‑operative education or work‑integrated learning programs.
• Familiarity with CEWIL Canada accreditation standards.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse student, faculty and employer stakeholders.
