Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse will support the execution of clinical research studies within the Pediatric and Adult departments of the Research Institute of the MUHC. Working under the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Research, the role ensures patient safety, protocol compliance, and high‑quality data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for study protocols in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain and complete medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs, as well as source documentation required by each protocol.
• Monitor patient safety, medication compliance, and prepare orders for protocol‑related procedures.
• Coordinate data collection, respond to queries, and manage research‑related documentation.
• Conduct protocol‑specific training and handle Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators, healthcare personnel, and pathology services to facilitate study activities.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); a Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the OIIQ.
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English.

Required skills

• Advanced oral and written communication in French and English.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Ability to manage protocol‑specific documentation, adverse event reporting, and medication compliance.
