Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse

About the role

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre is seeking a qualified Nurse to serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator within its Chronic Viral Illness Service. The role involves supporting multiple industry‑sponsored and investigator‑initiated clinical trials focused on HIV, HBV, HCV, STIs, and liver disease.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll study participants according to protocol criteria.
• Coordinate and conduct study visits, ensuring proper documentation and timing of procedures.
• Maintain medication, adverse‑event, and questionnaire logs; complete case report forms and other study documents.
• Review medical charts and laboratory results in preparation for investigator review.
• Administer investigational products, monitor patient safety, and verify medication compliance.
• Collect and process biological samples; follow up with participants as required.
• Support data collection systems, participate in monitoring visits, and attend research team meetings.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) credential with experience in clinical research or clinical trial coordination.
• Familiarity with chronic viral illness patient populations is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with investigators, sponsors, and participants.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with case report form (CRF) completion and adverse‑event reporting.
• Ability to administer investigational products and manage study medication logs.
