About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to deliver cognitive‑behavioural couple therapy (CBCT) for couples experiencing sexual interest/arousal disorder as part of the HELP with Outcomes for Low Desire (HOLD) randomized clinical trial.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a 16‑session manualised CBCT intervention to up to five couples per week, delivered online via Zoom and video‑recorded over an 18‑week period.
- Conduct psychological assessments and prepare concise session summaries in collaboration with the principal investigator.
- Manage case documentation and contribute to trial data collection.
- Supervise PhD practicum students on diagnostic assessments of sexual interest/arousal disorder, as needed.
Required profile
- Qualified clinical psychologist with experience in couple therapy and sexual health.
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of Dr. Katrina Bouchard and coordinate with the trial research team.
- Comfort with delivering therapy remotely and handling video‑recorded sessions.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Zoom (online video‑conferencing platform) for secure therapy sessions.
What we offer
- Hourly compensation ranging from $54.64 to $85.21 CAD.
- Flexible workload of up to 10 hours per week.
- Opportunity to contribute to a nationally funded CIHR research trial.
