Clinical Education Program Coordinator

About the role

The Clinical Education Program Coordinator is based at the Clinical Academic Campus of Kelowna General Hospital. The role provides administrative coordination for Year 3 and 4 medical undergraduate rotations and postgraduate medical education programs across Interior Health sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage student placements for mandatory rotations, electives, Rural Family Practice and Integrated Community Clerkship programs.
• Coordinate schedules, site agreements and logistical support for learners across multiple interior locations.
• Liaise with faculty, clinical preceptors, residents, medical students and health‑care administrators to ensure smooth program delivery.
• Develop and refine operational processes as program capacity expands.
• Report to the SMP Clinical Education Program Manager and collaborate with site directors, education leads and assessment administrators.

Required profile

• Experience in academic or health‑care program administration.
• Comfort working in an evolving environment with ambiguous processes.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities to interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with medical education structures and interior health networks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office administration tools.
