Client Engagement Manager – Medical Publications

About the role

The Client Engagement Manager will oversee day‑to‑day client relationships and drive the execution of medical publications programs for Red Nucleus’s global Medical Communications team. This remote‑first role collaborates with internal creative, editorial and digital teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant deliverables on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, providing consistent, high‑level client service.
• Lead medical communications projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, timeline, budget and quality standards are met.
• Conduct regular client status meetings, prepare agendas, updates and follow‑up recaps.
• Coordinate with Creative, Editorial, Digital and Project teams to manage daily execution.
• Review deliverables for alignment with client objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project financials, including budgeting, invoicing and scope change identification.
• Develop change orders, proposals and statements of work as needed.
• Oversee MLR review processes and document submission via systems such as Veeva.
• Participate in onsite client meetings, advisory boards and congress activities.
• Coach junior team members and contribute to business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• 4–6+ years of experience in medical communications, pharma marketing or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of the life‑sciences industry, therapeutic areas and drug development.
• Excellent client communication, organizational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using project management systems.
• Familiarity with document submission platforms such as Veeva PromoMats.
