Class 1 Long‑Haul Driver – Year‑Round Work Across US & Canada

About the role

XTL Transport is seeking experienced Class 1 long‑haul drivers to join its Airdrie team. You will operate across the United States and Canada, delivering freight on dedicated routes while enjoying steady, year‑round work.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 trucks on long‑haul routes covering the US Midwest, West Coast, and Canadian destinations.
• Handle refrigerated (reefer) loads and, when required, transport dangerous goods (TDG).
• Maintain compliance with cross‑border regulations and FAST card requirements.
• Ensure safe driving practices and keep a clean driving abstract.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers in English.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s licence.
• Minimum 2 years of long‑haul experience, including at least 1 year of US cross‑border driving and two consecutive winters.
• Residence in the Calgary/Airdrie area.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak) – a US mandate.
• Willingness to be on the road 5‑7 days per week.

Required skills

• Reefer operation experience.
• TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) handling – an asset.
• FAST card possession or willingness to obtain one.
