Class 1 Full Roamer Driver - Northern Canada

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, which has provided transportation and logistics solutions across North America for 65 years, is hiring a Class 1 Full Roamer Driver from its High Level, Alberta terminal. The position covers various locations throughout the company's Northern Canadian network.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 vehicles on long-haul linehaul routes throughout Northern Canada
• Complete deliveries and pickups of goods safely and on time
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with transportation regulations and hours-of-service requirements
• Secure loads properly and verify documentation accuracy before departure
• Communicate with dispatch, customers and management about delivery status and issues
• Follow safety protocols and company policies, and plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• 2 years of Class 1 experience (for LCV qualifications)
• Mountain qualification (the company will train the right candidate)
• Criminal record and driver's abstract
