About the role
Manitoulin Transport is seeking a reliable Class 1 City Deck Driver for its Sparwood, BC terminal. This full‑time position operates on a four‑day on/four‑day off schedule, starting at 6:00 AM, and offers competitive wages beginning at $43.83 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Perform local pickups and deliveries of flat‑deck loads.
- Complete thorough pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and documentation.
- Secure freight safely for transport.
- Communicate effectively with customers to meet delivery timelines.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s licence.
- Minimum two years of flat‑deck driving experience.
- Physically fit and able to handle loading duties.
- Strong knowledge of the local area (an asset).
- Excellent customer‑service orientation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices/systems.
