Claims Associate (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Claims Associate supports store profitability by managing damaged and returned merchandise in line with Walmart Canada guidelines. Working closely with vendors, teammates and customers, you ensure accurate credits, maintain inventory control and help keep the store running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Scan and process damaged, stolen or returned items quickly to prevent loss.
• Prepare returns, vendor requests, recalls and donation items, completing paperwork, packing and shipping on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe claims area by following proper lifting, ladder use and chemical disposal procedures.
• Follow company claims procedures, update claim records and complete forms to reduce chargebacks.
• Support store programs such as the Customer Value Program and assist other team members as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 20 lb (occasionally 50 lb) and perform repetitive stocking tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
