Civil Project Manager – Roadbuilding & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Civil Project Manager with a background in civil construction or engineering to lead complex infrastructure projects across British Columbia. You will oversee planning, coordination and execution of highways, municipal systems and heavy civil works, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency at every stage.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects, develop schedules with the Operations Manager, monitor progress and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Manage resources and contracts, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and oversee material procurement.
• Lead and mentor on‑site staff, maintain daily superintendent reports, and provide safety and quality leadership.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues, ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, review cost variances and protect contract interests.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years project management experience in self‑perform civil construction.
• At least 3 years managing in a unionized environment.
• Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or Civil Technology.
• Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to keep projects on schedule and within budget while handling daily challenges.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the province and a valid Canadian driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of WorkSafeBC health and safety legislation.
