Child Care Worker (PAL)

About the role

Join BGC Okanagan’s OK Falls Club as a casual Child Care Worker (PAL) supporting school‑aged children (6‑12 years) in a safe, engaging environment. You will lead activities, supervise children, and help create a welcoming space where every child feels a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities

• Provide caring supervision and ensure safety of children aged 6‑12.
• Plan and implement daily activities and special events.
• Transport children using club vans to schools and recreational sites.
• Recruit, orient, train and support program volunteers.
• Coordinate with community service providers and maintain communication with parents/caregivers.
• Maintain records, statistics and produce required reports.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or social services.
• Minimum age of 19 years (Provincial Licensing Standards).
• Current First Aid and Food Safe certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Class 4 driver’s licence.
• Successful completion of agency screening, including criminal record check.
