About the role

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer to lead its enterprise-wide technology, data and AI strategy. Reporting to the Managing Partner & CEO, the CTO will shape the firm’s digital future, driving innovation, client impact and operational excellence across its national footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year technology, data and AI roadmap aligned with growth objectives.
• Modernize IT architecture, strengthen data governance and simplify the application landscape.
• Embed AI solutions into legal and business workflows while ensuring responsible AI practices.
• Enhance cybersecurity, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Lead a senior, national IT team, fostering collaboration and cultural adoption of digital tools.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven enterprise‑scale technology leadership experience, preferably in professional services or a regulated industry.
• Track record of delivering complex digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong credibility with senior executives and ability to influence across a partnership environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, results‑oriented mindset.
