Chief Buyer

About the role

The Chief Buyer will lead the purchasing function, ensuring the right products are sourced at the best value for the company. This position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships while supporting the overall merchandising strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain contact with suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
• Review establishment requirements to determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
• Select and purchase merchandise for resale.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 to less than 3 years of relevant purchasing experience.
• Efficient interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
