About the role
We are looking for a motivated Chef de Partie to lead kitchen operations for banquets, weddings and specialty events at the Pearson Convention Center in Brampton. The role combines hands‑on cooking, menu planning and supervision of a small kitchen team.
Key responsibilities
- Estimate quantities and costs of supplies and food items for events.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
- Supervise specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers (1‑2 people).
- Create new recipes and plan menus that meet quality standards.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for banquets and functions.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies and consult with clients on menu choices.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school diploma).
- 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a similar kitchen role.
- Leadership, reliability, initiative and strong interpersonal skills.
