About the role
The Casual Childcare Worker provides one‑on‑one and group supervision for children at Yagole Daycare on an on‑call basis. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment while fostering trusting relationships with children and families.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing daily activities and structured environments that support children’s growth and development.
- Organise recreational and social activities that promote interaction and learning.
- Encourage participation and cooperation among children to maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor safety concerns and address them promptly to ensure children’s well‑being.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Daycare Manager to support overall operations.
Required profile
- Completion of at least Level 1 Early Childhood Development Training.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred).
- Familiarity with Cold Lake First Nation’s culture and community dynamics is an asset.
