About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Ottawa and provide friendly, efficient service at the checkout. As a cashier, you will be the face of the store, ensuring customers enjoy a smooth and pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately scan items, enter product data, and process transactions, including cash, coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum loyalty cards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns.
• Handle merchandising tasks such as facing, signing, and labeling products in designated areas.
• Follow loss‑prevention standards, control cash, lottery, and stamp inventory.
• Comply with health, safety, uniform, and store policies while maintaining store image and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of accurate record‑keeping.
• Experience with computer and register systems.
