About the role
We are seeking a cashier to join Gateway Gas Bar and C store in Riverton, MB. The role involves handling transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate cash register and process cash, cheques, and card payments.
- Scan items and receive payment for goods or services.
- Calculate daily/shift payments and reconcile with total sales.
- Suggestive selling and promote promotional activities.
- Stock shelves, clean the counter area, and maintain store appearance.
- Greet customers and provide friendly customer service.
- Verify age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Required profile
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Team player with reliable work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and stand for extended periods.
