Carpenter‑Joiner – Construction

About the role

Clermont Ltée is seeking a skilled carpenter‑joiner to join its construction team in Ottawa. You will work on commercial, industrial and institutional projects, delivering high‑quality wood structures and finishes while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair wooden frames, doors, windows, and fixtures on various building sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Apply metallized coatings and other surface treatments as required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment.
• Coordinate with tradespeople, supervisors, and clients to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including WHMIS and OHS standards.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or joinery.
• Carpenter Trade Certification and Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
• WHMIS certification and own reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, lift heavy loads and work in demanding conditions.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Carpentry and joinery techniques.

• Safety equipment usage (hard hat, steel‑toed boots, safety vest).
• Heavy load handling.
