Cardiologist (Full-time, Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Cardiologist to join our team in Edmonton, providing expert cardiac care to our patients. This permanent, full-time position involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders of the cardiovascular system.
• Prescribe medication and treatment plans, and refer patients for surgery when necessary.
• Study the nature, cause, and development of cardiac diseases and associated structural changes.
• Act as a consultant to other physicians and advise patients on health care.
• Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for patients with special needs.
• Examine patients, coordinate their care, and develop quality management and assurance standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, DDS, DVM, or OD) with specialization in Cardiology.
• Completion of specialty residency training and successful Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification.
• Licensure by the Alberta provincial authorities.
• Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication.
• Relevant experience is an asset.
