About the role
Join BASF Agricultural Solutions as a Canola Breeding Summer Associate, working on field trials that support local and global breeding programs. You will help develop high‑return hybrids and gain hands‑on experience in variety development from seeding through harvest.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in field trials for breeding programs, including seed set‑up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, pollination management, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as needed and ensure accurate data collection and daily crop‑health monitoring.
- Collaborate with team members or work independently to achieve trial objectives and support variety registration.
Required profile
- Current or recent (within 2 years) degree/diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy or a related field.
- Problem‑solving ability, flexibility to adapt plans, and strong interest in canola development.
- Ability to deliver results individually and as part of a team; prior farm or machinery experience is a plus but not required.
