Buyer – Procurement Specialist (Apparel & Athletics)

About the role

The Buyer will support Avery Dennison's fast‑moving apparel and athletics business by managing end‑to‑end procurement activities. Working under moderate guidance, you will act as the connective tissue between Sales, Finance, Production and external suppliers to ensure seamless supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Create, track and manage Purchase Orders (POs) from issuance through shipment, resolving logistics bottlenecks.
• Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand and prevent excess or dead stock.
• Administer departmental budgets, audit invoices and ensure high ROI on spend.
• Partner with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Production) to align procurement with business goals.
• Conduct supplier vetting, support contract negotiations and verify ethical labor and environmental practices.

Required profile

• Intermediate‑level procurement experience, preferably in apparel or athletics.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and solve operational issues.
• Excellent attention to detail for high‑volume data entry and complex supplier templates.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple internal functions.
