Buyer (Order Fulfillment / Expeditor)

About the role

Veolia's Water Tech Business is hiring a Buyer (Order Fulfillment / Expeditor) in its Sourcing team in Oakville. You will work with PSI, Plant Production, Logistics, Category Management, Quality Assurance, accounts payable and suppliers to support production activities and schedules, managing purchase orders from issuance to closure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders and their contents, including contract terms, outline agreements, order confirmations and delivery dates in SAP
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favourable terms and cost efficiencies, and oversee supplier performance and contracts
• Follow up on POs so they are acknowledged, scheduled and shipped on time, coordinating with Quality and Logistics
• Handle quarterly price adjustments, invoice resolution with suppliers and accounts payable, and master data accuracy
• Expediting deliveries and resolving payment issues with suppliers
• Other tasks as assigned by the manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, business administration or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, expediting or supply chain
• Proven negotiation results and excellent expediting skills, preferably with engineering equipment
• Eligible to work in Canada; the employer does not sponsor work authorization

Required skills

• Purchase order life cycle management and PO conditions
• Familiarity with INCOTERMS and domestic and international logistics
• SAP knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Meet)
• Strong communication, analytical and time-management skills

What we offer

• Compensation range of $70,000 - $75,000 CAD
• Hybrid work: office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, home on Mondays and Fridays
