Business Intelligence Specialist

About the role

TD is looking for a strategic Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to lead the decommissioning and rationalisation of more than 500 BI artifacts across the business segment. You will modernise the reporting landscape, create high‑value dashboards and datasets, and ensure data‑driven decision‑making aligns with evolving business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a full inventory and assessment of existing BI artifacts, evaluating usage, business value and technical dependencies.
• Partner with business units, data owners and report consumers to validate requirements and recommend consolidation, retirement or redesign.
• Design and deliver new BI solutions—including dashboards, KPIs and datasets—using best‑in‑class visualisation and performance practices.
• Lead artifact rationalisation aligned with data‑governance and modernisation objectives.
• Promote enterprise BI standards, scalable design practices and consistent data storytelling.
• Collaborate across teams to eliminate reporting redundancies and optimise insight delivery.
• Support change‑management activities such as communication, training and user transition for retired or replaced artifacts.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI assets, including purpose, owners, data lineage and change history.
• Track and report progress, risks and outcomes related to decommissioning and new development work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business intelligence, reporting or data analytics within a large enterprise.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess technical dependencies and business impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills to drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience guiding change‑management initiatives and user adoption.

Required skills

• Expertise in designing and building dashboards, KPIs and data visualisations.
• Knowledge of data‑governance principles and best practices for BI asset management.
• Ability to document data lineage, business owners and change history.
