Business Development Manager

About the role

ProofOfID is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue growth by creating new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and closing enterprise sales. You will work closely with executive leadership to expand the company’s presence across key markets such as financial services, telecom, government, healthcare, insurance, and education.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and established sales processes.
• Conduct discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and customer presentations.
• Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close enterprise accounts.
• Establish relationships with executive decision‑makers (CIOs, CISOs, CROs, Compliance Leaders, Procurement).
• Develop strategic partnerships with technology partners, resellers, and system integrators.
• Represent ProofOfID at industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to uncover growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support lead generation and customer engagement.
• Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, business development, or SaaS/software sales.
• Proven track record of generating leads, managing complex sales cycles, and closing enterprise accounts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
