Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to expand the presence of a trusted fresh‑produce supplier across Alberta. The role focuses on building lasting relationships with retailers, grocery stores, hospitality venues and food‑service distributors while driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout Alberta.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery stores, retailers, restaurants, hotels and food‑service operators.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and service agreements.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Experience in fresh produce, food distribution, grocery, agriculture, hospitality or food‑service is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Alberta.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using CRM tools.
