Business Development Manager

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth across its energy and industrial service lines in Canada. You will work closely with operational and technical teams to promote the full portfolio of specialist services and build long‑term customer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract award.
• Promote EnerMech’s full portfolio of specialist services across multiple business lines.
• Prepare customer engagement plans, cross‑selling opportunities and account expansion strategies.
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams to develop tailored customer solutions.
• Maintain regular customer engagement through meetings, site visits and industry events.
• Monitor market activity, competitor developments and customer trends to identify new opportunities.
• Ensure accurate sales forecasting and timely reporting via CRM and business reporting systems.
• Negotiate commercial terms in line with company policies and delegated authority.
• Deliver against agreed sales, revenue and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling technical services within the energy, industrial, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong customer focus with excellent relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to identify and develop opportunities that create long‑term value for customers and the business.
• Results‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
