Branch Manager – Retail Banking

About the role

The Branch Manager leads the full‑spectrum operations of a Bow Valley Credit Union branch, driving deposit, loan, membership and profitability targets while ensuring members’ financial needs are met. This role requires strong interpersonal, analytical and communication abilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee branch sales, service and operations, adhering to risk, policy and regulatory standards.
• Manage deposit and lending activities, including underwriting and credit adjudication within delegated limits.
• Drive business growth through short‑term tactics that increase wallet share, member retention and acquisition.
• Enhance the credit union’s visibility in the community, securing referrals and sponsorship opportunities.
• Maintain branch financial controls, monitor expenses and income, and implement internal audit recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in retail banking with a solid understanding of credit underwriting and investment sales.
• Proven track record of achieving team sales goals and developing new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated success in building member and community relationships.
