Bilingual Postal Clerk – Retail & Operations

About the role

Join Canada Post’s dynamic mail operations and retail environment as a bilingual Postal Clerk. This temporary on‑call position offers flexible scheduling across days, evenings, overnights and weekends, providing hands‑on experience in both customer‑facing and mail‑processing tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sales and customer‑service activities to ensure complete satisfaction.
• Operate a computer point‑of‑sale (POS) system and process financial transactions (cash, cheques, debit & credit cards).
• Maintain floor displays, conduct merchandising and inventory control.
• Receive, sort, sequence, batch and review mail items for address accuracy and proper postage.
• Operate mail‑processing equipment, clear jams and transport mail between floors using rolling or motorized equipment.
• Stand for up to 3.5 hours and handle mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb).

Required profile

• Experience in customer service within a retail environment.
• Sales experience is an asset.
• Experience working in a production environment is an asset.
