Bilingual French Account Manager - CPG

About the role

The Bilingual French Account Manager supports sourcing and commercial operations for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. Reporting to the VP Commercial, the role ensures supply continuity, quality compliance, and accurate commercial execution while working remotely with occasional travel to Calgary and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal plants through regular communication and site visits.
• Support business development initiatives and expand commercial activity within assigned markets.
• Coordinate with Billing and Transportation to ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and inventory valuation.
• Establish and manage sales agreements, supporting negotiations and contract alignment.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality Assurance to monitor raw material quality and compliance.
• Work with Logistics to manage transportation, port activities, and external cold‑storage arrangements.
• Resolve customer, supplier, or contractor issues, including claims and grievances.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent relevant experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (required).
• 3‑5 years of commercial experience in import/export or sales within the food or meat industry.
• Strong knowledge of import processes, particularly for meat or fish products.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 25% travel).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
