Batching Operator

About the role

The Batching Operator is responsible for mixing large quantities of raw materials to produce sauces, condiments, and salad dressings in a food manufacturing environment. Working under the Line Lead, the operator ensures all batching processes follow customer specifications, food safety standards, and company health and safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Check production schedules and report to the assigned batching station.
• Perform pre‑operation and safety inspections in line with GMP.
• Assemble, clean, and connect hoses before each batch.
• Start machinery, program ingredient loads on the HMI, and retrieve spices and ingredients.
• Measure and confirm ingredient quantities, cook sauces, and take samples for quality assurance.
• Transfer finished product to holding tanks or filling machines and reset for the next batch.
• Execute cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) procedures for product changeovers.
• Maintain efficiency, safety, and a clean workstation while communicating with material handlers.
• Assist other cooks and operate multiple batching stations as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in food manufacturing.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience in cooking preferred.
• Experience operating a lift truck preferred.
• Willingness to learn and ability to interpret HMI systems.

Required skills

• Operation of HMI control systems.
• Batching equipment handling and ingredient measurement.
• Cleaning‑in‑place (CIP) procedures.
• Lift‑truck operation (preferred).
• Basic safety inspection and GMP compliance.
