Banking Controller – Canada Branch

About the role

Join Crédit Agricole CIB Canada as a Banking Controller for its Canadian branch. You will be responsible for the financial excellence of the branch, collaborating with international finance teams and ensuring high‑quality reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellence in financial accounting and management reporting for the branch.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and Canadian tax regulations.
• Prepare and file financial regulatory reports.
• Execute all accounting entries required for month‑end and year‑end closings.
• Monitor and analyse results against budget and provide insights.
• Produce Canadian financial reports with rigorous quality assurance of the general ledger.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of processes under your responsibility.
• Interact regularly with external auditors, tax authorities and internal colleagues in Montreal, New York and Paris.

Required profile

• Strong background in financial accounting and management reporting.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and banking regulatory reporting.
• Experience working with international finance teams.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
