Bakery Department Manager

Join Real Canadian Superstore in Surrey as the Bakery Department Manager, leading a team that delivers fresh baked goods while meeting sales and profitability goals. You will shape the customer experience, maintain high standards of merchandising, and contribute to a safe, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the bakery department, ensuring sales and profitability targets are met.
• Train, coach and develop associates in customer service, product knowledge and merchandising.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, pricing, displays and a clean, safe environment.
• Monitor inventory, coordinate replenishment with other departments and manage departmental expenses.
• Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to align with overall store goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
