Bakery Clerk – Part‑Time Sales & Service

About the role

Join Safeway’s bakery team in Fort Frances and provide fast, friendly service at the checkout. You will keep the register running smoothly, scan items accurately, handle payments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Key responsibilities

• Enter or scan items selected by customers and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Handle cash, debit cards, cheques and make deposits according to policy.
• Balance the cash register and meet productivity standards.
• Bag items and keep work areas clean and compliant with food‑safety standards.
• Use equipment safely and maintain personal uniform.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or equivalent) is an asset.
• At least six months experience as a cashier.
• Customer‑service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Available to work various shifts, including overtime.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 kg.
