Bakery Clerk – Customer Service & Sales

About the role

Join COBS Bread Harvest Pointe as a Bakery Clerk where you will be the friendly face of our bakery, handling transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring our shelves are well‑stocked and attractive. This full‑time, permanent position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to learn on the job.

Key responsibilities

• Accept cash, cheque, credit card, and automatic debit payments.
• Operate the computerized inventory and re‑ordering system.
• Provide product advice and excellent customer service.
• Assist in the display and merchandising of bakery items.
• Greet customers, discuss product details, and help them select items.
• Maintain accurate sales records for inventory control.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and ability to distinguish colours.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.
• Dependable, reliable, and accurate.
• Strong oral communication and client‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with computerized inventory or point‑of‑sale systems (training provided).
