About the role
We are looking for a dedicated baker to join our kitchen team at Wendel's True Foods in Langley. The role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, managing inventory, and ensuring high quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare dough, batters, icings and frostings according to standard recipes or special customer orders, ensuring consistency and taste.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment and supplies; organize and maintain inventory to support uninterrupted production.
- Bake mixed dough and batters, and handle special orders such as custom cakes, pastries and seasonal items.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff, schedule shifts, and monitor product quality to meet established standards.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas, oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of practical baking experience.
