Back End Developer

About the role

Acro Commerce is seeking a Back End Developer to join its digital agency team in Kelowna, BC. You will work on e‑commerce solutions for B2B manufacturers, building scalable, modern applications using a variety of frameworks and tools. The role offers hybrid or fully remote options and a collaborative, low‑ego culture.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality code that follows Acro Media standards and the established production process.
• Implement updates, revisions, and new features for client websites and applications.
• Work independently on multiple tasks, from small bug fixes to larger builds, while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Provide accurate time estimates for fixes, builds, and additional functionality.
• Deliver efficient solutions for work requests, issues, and defects in a timely manner.
• Communicate clearly with account managers, supervisors, and clients regarding work requests, problems, and defects.
• Mentor junior developers and seek assistance from team members when needed.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability, able to locate and fix issues in existing code based on client feedback.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment with shifting priorities.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them to creative solutions.
• Team‑player attitude with low ego and high technical skill.
