Autoclave Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Autoclave Technician to join our manufacturing team in Fort Erie, Ontario. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will operate autoclaves and curing ovens to produce high‑quality composite parts and handle post‑cure demoulding.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor autoclaves and curing ovens, loading programs and tracking cycle data.
• Load and unload lay‑up molds using pump carts, pallet jacks and overhead crane.
• Demould parts with pneumatic tools, hammers, wedges and compressed air.
• Maintain vacuum hoses, fittings, valves and perform vacuum integrity checks.
• Perform routine maintenance on thermocouples, tooling and hand tools.
• Prepare and verify production paperwork to ensure traceability.
• Troubleshoot cure issues, report findings and assist with corrective actions.
• Support health and safety initiatives, identify hazards and keep work areas clean (5S, FOD‑free).

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with composite lay‑up processes and autoclave operation.
• Ability to work rotating weekly shifts and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
