Audit Manager

About the role

KPMG is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for Canadian public‑sector clients across its Downtown Montreal, Boisbriand and Brossard offices. You will work within a high‑challenge, high‑support environment, delivering high‑quality audit work that builds trust and transparency for both public and private organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage full audit cycles from planning through completion for public‑sector clients.
• Implement and contribute to the group’s business plan and assurance financial targets.
• Collaborate with practice management to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Provide counsel, training, and mentorship to audit staff.
• Apply KPMG’s audit and accounting methodologies on client engagements.

Required profile

• Relevant post‑secondary degree.
• Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent (preferred).
• 5+ years of audit experience within an accounting firm, including work with publicly listed clients under IFRS.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex audit matters.
