Associate Veterinarian – Reproduction Focus

About the role

Elder's Equine, Manitoba's premier equine medical centre, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian dedicated to equine reproduction. You will join a five‑doctor team that includes boarded specialists in surgery and anesthesiology, providing comprehensive reproductive services to a growing caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of equine breeding, from estrus detection to foaling assistance.
• Perform reproductive procedures such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and uterine lavage.
• Provide emergency reproductive coverage and on‑call support as part of a shared schedule.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to client education.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree with current licensure to practice in Canada.
• Demonstrated experience in equine reproduction and a strong interest in breeding programs.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and occasional emergency cases.
