Associate Veterinarian (Equine)

About the role

Delaney Veterinary Services is seeking an equine Associate Veterinarian to join a six‑veterinarian team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art facility handling a diverse caseload ranging from family horses to elite competitors.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily team rounds to discuss cases and appointments.
• Provide in‑house emergency care and perform surgeries from start to finish.
• Manage a varied caseload including herd health, dentistry, and lameness cases.
• Mentor students, externs, and interns visiting the practice.
• Share on‑call duties while maintaining work‑life balance.

• Strong communicator who quickly builds trust with clients and colleagues.
• Motivated to grow a personal practice and client base.
• Enthusiastic about teaching and supporting veterinary trainees.
• Interest in all facets of equine medicine, including ambulatory work.
