Associate Student Recruiter & Advisor

About the role

The Associate Student Recruiter & Advisor supports UBC’s strategic recruitment and advising initiatives for secondary and post‑secondary students across Canada. Based on the Okanagan campus, the role works closely with recruitment, admissions and campus partners to guide prospective students through UBC’s admission process.

Key responsibilities

• Execute strategic recruitment programs targeting secondary and post‑secondary students, parents and educational advocates.
• Provide accurate advice on UBC admission criteria, program requirements and application processes.
• Represent UBC with an inclusive and strategic approach to attract a diverse student body.
• Support Indigenous reconciliation efforts and promote access for historically underserved populations.
• Collaborate with Student Recruiter‑Advisors, enrollment services, faculties and specialized units such as the First Nations House of Learning.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of campus offerings and admission policies.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience in student recruitment or advising.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Ability to work on‑site at the Okanagan campus and travel as needed.
