Key responsibilities

• Manage daily productivity of all store staff and maintain merchandising standards to maximize sales and profitability.
• Share responsibility for labour costs and other key financial measures.
• Promote consistently high customer service standards.
• Train, motivate and coach staff while providing a positive work environment.
• Prepare and adjust work schedules to meet business needs.
• Oversee product receiving, handling, storage, and inventory rotation.
• Execute advertising and promotional merchandising to enhance brand advantage.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing integrity.
• Collaborate with sales representatives on credits, displays, and order levels.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure accurate ordering for seasonal and special bookings.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage people with several years of management experience.
• Capability to work with minimal functional direction.
• Understanding of the discount food store concept and its critical success factors.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
