Associate International Student Recruiter/Advisor

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking an Associate International Student Recruiter/Advisor to join its Global Recruitment team. In this role you will support the International Student Initiative by attracting qualified international and Canadian students who have studied outside Canada to UBC’s undergraduate programs across both the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate advice to prospective students on admission criteria, program requirements, and visa processes.
• Plan and execute recruitment activities in schools, community events, and professional settings worldwide.
• Collaborate with regional ISI teams, academic advisors, and faculty staff to meet enrolment targets.
• Maintain records of recruitment outreach and advise on transition processes for admitted students.
• Support the development of recruitment strategies in alignment with faculty goals.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience in higher‑education recruitment or student advising preferred.
• Knowledge of Canadian immigration and visa regulations is an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
